The end of the classroom participant guide? Part 3

Three ring binderTime for another short post in this series. This time let’s talk about the rise of performance support. Performance support is not new, however in recent years PSS vendors have taken the functionality to all new heights with context sensitivity and goals like finding the content you need in 2 clicks and 10 seconds.

What does that have to do with the end of the participant guide? Everything. Integrating performance support solutions into classroom and other training experiences eliminates the need for participant guides that include pages and pages of step-by-step instructions. Instead, participant materials can be focused exclusively on details needed for in class exercises.

What do you think? How does performance support threaten the participant guide?
